Since launching SteadyPoint HR, we've released updates that help teams manage employee data, onboarding, leave, and everyday HR work inside Microsoft 365. This page walks through the Core HRIS release and the features included in each version.
First Release — Core HRIS
The first release introduced the foundational SteadyPoint HRIS experience: a SharePoint-based HR platform for growing teams that need employee records, onboarding, offboarding, and leave management in one place.
SteadyPoint HR 1.0.0.1
- Onboarding: Create onboarding templates, assign tasks, and track progress from a dedicated onboarding dashboard.
- Offboarding: Manage employee exits with offboarding templates, assigned tasks, and a structured offboarding dashboard.
- Leave Management: Configure leave types and balances, submit leave requests, and approve or reject requests in one connected flow.
- Employee Self-Service: Employees can submit leave requests and track request status directly in the system.
SteadyPoint HR 1.0.0.2
- Policy Center: Create and manage company HR policies with categories, effective dates, expiry dates, and department targeting.
- Policy Acknowledgments: Require employees to acknowledge policies and track acknowledgment status.
- Roles & Permissions: Assign Admin, HR, and default user roles to control access across employee records, onboarding, offboarding, leave, policies, and settings.
- Insights and Reporting: View General Statistics, Employee Statistics, and Recent Activity analytics from one dashboard.
- HR Reports Dashboard: Access reports on new hires, anniversaries, employee statistics, and workforce trends.
- Email Notification Templates: Customize default email templates for leave, onboarding, offboarding, and policy notifications using placeholders.
SteadyPoint HR 1.0.0.3
- Leave Calendar: Open Leave Calendar from the sidebar to view approved and pending leave for a selected period. Filter by work location, respect user permissions, and show non-working weekdays and public holidays for each location.
- Request Leave for Others: Users with the Request leave for others permission can submit leave on behalf of another employee. The selected employee stays fixed until changed, leave is recorded against them, and the list shows who submitted the request.
- Work Locations (Settings): Manage work locations in Settings with non-working weekdays and public holidays per location. Seeded locations include Default, Head Office, Dubai, Riyadh, and United States, with CSV import, holiday presets, and year summary notes.
- Employees & Work Location: Work Location is required on the employee form and defaults to Default. Values save to the employee list, Excel import supports work location mapping, and calendar calculations use the lookup—not legacy free-text location.
- Leave Duration & Calendars:Leave duration excludes non-working days and public holidays based on the employee's work location. Users see hints when days are skipped, warnings when dates fall on weekends or holidays, and different totals for the same range across locations such as Dubai and Riyadh.
